What Are College Entrance Exams?
College entrance exams are standardized aptitude tests used to evaluate students for college admissions purposes. The first thing you do once you’ve decided which universities you plan on applying to is to check the admissions requirements to figure out which college entrance exams are required by the school as well as the scores you’ll need to get in.
ACT, CLT, or SAT?
How to choose between taking the ACT and SAT tests:
The ACT and SAT have been around for a long time and are accepted at most institutions. The CLT is a newer exam with a growing list of colleges that recognize it for admissions purposes. Some students prefer one test over the others and sit for each exam to see which score will serve them better for admissions and scholarship purposes. Grace Christian Academy is a test center for both the ACT and CLT examinations.
While we recommend students take all of these exams (also available online), we lean towards recommending that students take the ACT.

The CLT ResourcesThe CLT is the new standard for college entry exams. Students have stated that the exam is a positive experience when compared with other standardized tests, and no wonder: it is shorter than either the SAT or the ACT, allows a higher score than its competitors, is taken online, and offers same-day scoring—no tedious weeks of waiting. Moreover, the CLT is less expensive than the SAT or ACT when taken with essays, and features no hidden fees.
