Our family teems with sports, work, and school. It seems as if, in our family, we are always busier rather than not. Sometimes you have to empower yourself to make decisions on your own even when your parents are not there. For example, doing homework whenever you can or putting it off till the last minute. When this happens then you obviously want to make the right decision rather than the wrong decision, but sometimes you mess up. When you mess up, then at least you know what your parents think about your decision, and then how you can change your decision in the future. Sometimes I like asking for my parents' advice rather than just making the decision by myself because I don’t like making the wrong decision. In the end, I know that whatever advice they give me, I know that I can then make my decision off of that, and what God says. I know that once I do that, my parents will then support my decision.
The second thing I would describe the family as would be always giving me words of wisdom. Sometimes life can be exceedingly incoherent. It can be hard to know what to do do times than to know what not to do. To have the words from your parents that make you know what to do and how to make the right decision, can be important. When my parents give me examples of how to solve problems, it helps me an immense amount. Sometimes they give me examples from their life when they were younger and how they solved that problem. Rather than just having no help I am more than thankful for my parent for their loving support and wise words.
Parents are important in any child’s life and you still need them when you’re an adult too. The parents that I have helped me every single day, and I could not ask for better. I hope you feel the same way about your parents that I feel about mine.
